Integrating students into student council work in a sustainable way

Challenges of the participants:

• (1) Quantity of young talent
  • during Corona
  • Some events cannot be realised because there are too few people available

• (2) Quality of the next generation
  • Political interests<>parties
  • Introduction to student council work
    • Third semester

• (3) Loss of old FSR members
  • Irregular distribution of tasks

Proposed solutions

to (1):

• Orientation week

• Networking meetings in general
• Networking meetings because of the 2 years online / Corona

• Lead from one event to the next (e.g. award ceremony at the meeting)

• What can we do at successful events to bring participants into the work?
  • Start small, step by step (e.g. party->committee work etc.)
  • "Taster"

• Overcome the breaking point. How?
  • Fresher's week (specifically address first-year students)
  • Make targeted use of social media
  • Strengthen the relationship between old and new FSR members#
  • Series of events specifically to get to know the student body

to (2):

• Knowledge management
  • Store templates / How Tos digitally

• Accompanying introduction to offices and general work
