Icebreaker for first-year students and to lighten the mood
Rattle gang size
- Sizes vary greatly, ideally 10-20 people so that everyone can be involved
- Problem if number is not known
- Difficulties when groups become too large, 80-100 people
Origin of the games
- Internal ideas, trying out new things that have been picked up, Justus Festival, pre-made games from the student body, house parties, children's birthday parties, Instagram
- Pay attention to awareness with older games

Group allocation
- Random allocation, e.g. drawing lots
- Pay attention to quota, but still relatively random
- No requests, otherwise chaos
- Let first-year students allocate themselves, directly on the first day
Core objectives of the Rasselbanden games
- Getting to know the first-year students, friendships
- Introduce the student body, new members
Games
Olly-Off Road game
Everyone introduces themselves with an alliterative adjective and name. Everyone following must repeat the last 3 names with alliteration. More difficult: Repeat all previous names

Box game/ ice floe game
Group has to get from a starting point to the finish without touching the ground; 5 empty beer crates are provided to help. The faster group wins. Alternative: Only 2 crates of beer, one must be empty at the start

Blanket game
Two groups play against each other. The members of one group must all stand on a blanket and then try to turn it over without touching the floor. The faster group wins

Psychiatrist
One psychiatrist is selected and has to leave the room, the rest of the group thinks of a tick (e.g. you are the person sitting on the right). The psychiatrist has to guess this tick by answering yes/no questions Alternative questions are answered normally and the tick changes with a code word

Plöm
Everyone is "Plöm", walks around the room and has to say Plöm. Players have to play Schnick-Schnack-Schnuck and the winner progresses. Whoever loses has to go down a level.
- Plöm -> Fish -> Chicken -> Monkey -> Manager -> Wise man
- Fish says "blub blub", chicken cackles, monkey makes monkey noises, manager says "phone, phone", wise man wins and can sit down
Edding race
Two teams play against each other. Everyone sits in a circle, every second place is in a team. Two Eddings are passed around. The team that gets round the other Edding first wins. The caps are taped shut.
- Opponents may try to prevent the others from passing on
- Edding may not be thrown!
- Ice-breaker, fun, team building
At the end, the participants play the games Plöm, Psychiater and Schnick-Schnack-Schnuck in teams.
