Training the treatment of internal emergencies with VR glasses
Since the summer semester 2023, we have been offering the opportunity to use virtual reality in medical teaching. Using VR goggles (Meta Quest 2) and the STEP.VR software, students can work on nine internal medicine emergency scenarios in a protected environment under supervision and thus practise clinical thinking and deriving a diagnosis. Since autumn 2024, it has also been possible for several people to work together as a team in the same virtual treatment room at the same time.
Would you like to gain a brief insight into the possibilities of virtual reality at School VI? This short film was created in collaboration with media technology and university didactics as part of the Day of Teaching and Learning (TdLL) 2024.

Five VR headsets and three computers with the software are currently available. If you would like more information or would like to test the virtual emergency room, .
