East and South African-German Centre of Excellence for Educational Research Methodologies and Management (CERM-ESA) (A joint project between the University of Oldenburg, Moi University (Kenya), Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (South Africa), the University of Dar Es Salaam (Tanzania) and the Uganda Management Institute (Uganda), funded by the German Academic Exchange Service with funding from the Federal Foreign Office (10/2014–12/2028)
- Digital Initiative for the African Centres of Excellence (DIGI-FACE): A joint project between the University of Oldenburg, the Kehl University of Applied Sciences, the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and Nelson Mandela University (South Africa), funded by the German Academic Exchange Service with funding from the Federal Foreign Office (10/2019–12/2029). The project supports digitalisation and continuing professional development processes at African partner universities.
