Evaluation of the state programme "Youth social work at Berlin schools"
Project description
The University of Oldenburg has been entrusted with the scientific monitoring of the state programme "Youth Social Work at Berlin Schools" for a period of two years. The evaluation builds on the scientific study from 2016/2017 and aims to gain key insights into the state programme and develop recommendations for its further development.
Three central questions are to be answered:
- How can the quality of school-based youth social work be ensured and/or increased in order to achieve the objectives?
- What effects (e.g. reduction of school distance, increase in school-leaving qualifications, reduction in school drop-outs) can be confirmed for the programme?
- What preventative and interventional programmes can school-related youth social work use to help reduce school disengagement and strengthen pupils' well-being and resilience? What role does co-operation within the multi-professional team play, particularly with regard to the prevention of violence?
Methodical design
To answer the three questions
1. an analysis of educational success indicators,
2. a secondary analysis of guidelines from other Federal States, district concepts and programme data,
3. qualitative surveys of different respondent groups and
4. quantitative (repeat) surveys of different groups of respondents.
The focus of the scientific study is an evaluation of the conceptual foundations, implementation, management and support, quality standards/framework conditions, practice and multi-professional co-operation as well as the achievement of objectives/impact of the state programme (based on the CIPP model).
