A visit to Wechloy primary school: bridge building in the ATB workshop
This semester, students in the subject teaching programme were given the opportunity to prepare and then test various bridge models for a school laboratory visit in the ATB workshops. Here are a few impressions:
Robotics in the technical school lab.
On 24 January 2023, pupils from Herbartgymnasium visited the "ATB-Werkstatt" school laboratory. Master's students of technical education organised a workshop on robotics in which various tasks had to be solved in different contexts with the help of the Dobot Magician robot arm. Whether it was sorting medication in care homes, recycling smartphones or smart home solutions, there was something for everyone! Coordinate by coordinate, the students developed great solutions and mastered the tasks with flying colours!
ATB workshop at the AHOI MINT Festival
On 9 September, the big AHOI MINT Festival took place on Oldenburg's Schloßplatz. A wide variety of extracurricular learning centres were represented with exciting hands-on activities! In total, there were over 40! hands-on activities for tinkering, experimenting, constructing or simply trying things out. The ATB workshop was also represented there with an exciting hands-on programme and was delighted with the large number of visitors interested in robotics.
Current projects
It's done! The 2022 summer semester is drawing to a close! As part of the technology degree programme, students were once again able to implement various projects in full attendance this semester. This included the advanced module "Material Processing Systems". Here, the basic skills acquired in the foundation modules were used to produce models of wind turbines. The profiling of the rotor blades requires a lot of skill and sensitivity, but the result is impressive:
