How to get money
You can get European currency (EUR) cash at the banks and cash terminals. The cash terminals are accessible 24 hours a day, and they are to be found regularly in the city, as well as at the train station. However, there is no cash terminal nor a bank on the University Campus in Wechloy!
To get the current exchange rates you may visit x-rates.com.ernational calls is 00, e.g., to call into the United States you would have to dial 001 first.
Meals
The participants may have all meals at the cafeteria of the University (Monday to Friday). The dishes are tasty, and the cost is low.. During the coffee/tea breaks between the talks, coffee, tea and cookies will be served.
Other nearby options (about 10-15 minute walk), open for lunch and dinner, are the restaurants 6 Sinne (lunch buffet 9,90 €), Café und Bar Celona (lunch buffet 8,50 €) and Moto Kitchen (Sushi etc.).
Conference Dinner
The conference dinner is on Thursday at 19:30 at the restaurant Spieker in Bad Zwischenahn. The easiest way to get there is by train to Bad Zwischenahn, plus a 10 minute walk, , see the map below (it’s the same map as for the Boat Cruise on Wednesday).
There is a train leaving Oldenburg Hauptbahnhof at 18:58 and Oldenburg-Wechloy (near the university) at 19:02.
We have a group ticket so you don’t need to buy a ticket yourself for the trip to Bad Zwischenahn.
For the return to Oldenburg we recommend to share a taxi. There are also trains at 21:45, 22:12 and 23:45 to Oldenburg Hauptbahnhof.
You will need to pay the return trip, as well as your meal, individually.
