Do you want to be the person who moves this sector forward or at least makes it a little better?
Join us for the International Entrepreneurship Summer School (IESS) 2024 and develop an innovative business model in just one week – even without pre-existing idea or experience. With our this year´s partner YES – Young Entrepreneurs in Science we can again offer a great program:
During the IESS you will learn how to
- evaluate your skills and goals to surround yourself with complementary people,
- learn and reflect about future trends and plan ahead,
- use the Design Thinking method to develop user centric products and services,
- develop prototypes and test it with your designated future customers,
- develop a story around your product and pitch it to different audiences.
Branch experts and entrepreneurs will be at your side to accompany you along the way.

This Summer School is hosted in the course of the EXIST project “The Startup University of Oldenburg – Engine of a Cross-Border Startup Region” in cooperation with our partners from YES – Young Entrepreneurs in Science and the Jade University of Applied Sciences Oldenburg / Elsfleth / Wilhelmshaven.

FAQ
Who may participate?
Everyone is welcome to participate. An academic background, currently studying or having studied, is helpful but not essential.
How much will it cost me to participate?
We do not charge any participation fee. Nevertheless, costs may be incurred for the journey to and the stay in Oldenburg.
Will the IESS be held in English?
Yes.
I am afraid that my idea might be stolen by others. Is there a safeguard for this?
Each participant, expert, advisor or person otherwise involved in the event has made a declaration of confidentiality either with the registration or otherwise in advance.
I am not sure whether my idea fits into one of the three categories (health, energy, digitalization).
Don’t worry. Even if your idea does not fit perfectly into one of the categories, you can still develop your business model during IESS. We only have additional offers that help especially with ideas from the three areas.
