Maths Day

Insights into the maths degree programme
The Day of Mathematics offers pupils the opportunity to get an idea of the university, mathematics and the study of mathematics - and to get answers to all their questions.
The Institute of Mathematics organises a colourful programme that sheds light on mathematics from many different perspectives. This usually includes
- Workshops,
in which pupils gain a perhaps previously unfamiliar, application-orientated perspective on the world of mathematics under the guidance of academic staff and students, - Lectures,
in which professors provide deeper insights into maths in a clear and understandable way, - a competition,
with tricky mathematical questions and a prize-giving ceremony at the end of the day and - an information stand run by the student body,
, where we will be on hand to chat about studying maths or student life in general, answer any questions and hand out popcorn for snacks in between.
