Greeting

Greeting

Dear colleagues,
Dear friends of neuropsychology,

We cordially invite you to the 29th annual conference of the Society for Neuropsychology in Oldenburg. The conference will take place from 18.09.14 to 20.09.14 at the University of Oldenburg. The University, the City of Oldenburg and the organisers are looking forward to welcoming you!

The scientific programme will reflect the breadth of neuropsychological topics. In particular, we want to present developments in the field of neuropsychological therapy and discuss neuroscientific therapeutic procedures. Together with our patients, our primary concern is to find out how lost performance can be improved and how certain life goals can be realised again. We want to do justice to this fundamental concern by organising a series of symposia dedicated to new developments in more traditional areas of individual and group therapy for memory disorders, visual disorders or attention disorders. Two renowned colleagues from abroad will give keynote speeches on these topics. At this annual conference we also want to deal with cognitive neuroscientific topics with therapeutic relevance.

The Oldenburg Institute of Psychology repositioned itself a few years ago with the international master's programme "Neurocognitive Psychology" and will organise symposia on current methods, including transcranial electrical stimulation (tACS, tDCS), the brain-computer interface (BCI) and neurofeedback. We have also been able to attract high-calibre international colleagues for guest lectures in the field of cognitive neuroscience. The programme is rounded off by workshops on evidence-based neuropsychological rehabilitation and on bio- and neurofeedback. Laboratory demonstrations (e.g. tACS/tDCS, BCI) will also be realised, and clinical neuropsychology naturally includes other important topics, which we are pleased to provide space for in further symposia at the annual conference. We cordially invite you to submit papers or posters! With your contributions, we will jointly realise a scientifically and clinically valuable conference in a pleasant atmosphere.

With best wishes for a reunion at the 29th Annual Meeting in Oldenburg!
