The Computing Science Teachers' Day 2017 took place this year not in spring but in autumn, on Thursday, 14 September 2017, in the Department of Didactics of Computing Science in School II at the University of Oldenburg. The reason for this was the 17th GI Conference on Computing Science and Schools (INFOS) , also taking place in Oldenburg this year, on the topic of "Computing Science Education for Understanding and Shaping the Digital World".

Like till 2017, the conference focussed on Computing Science education as the foundation of an education for the digital world from kindergarten to primary school, secondary levels I and II and vocational schools.

All teachers from neighbouring Federal States were cordially invited.
