Special places of learning
Special places of learning at the university
As a practical media degree programme, it is particularly important that media production is made possible in a variety of ways at the University of Oldenburg. To this end, there are various facilities at the Institutes of Music and Art that can be used by students. This ensures that auditory and visual media practice is guaranteed without major barriers. Access to audio production equipment and software can be found in the recording studios, while video and image production is possible at the Institute of Art in the artistic workshops, such as the Medialab and the photo lab.
Recording studio
All types of audio production can be carried out in the recording studios. Further information can be found here.
Medialab
You can use the university's Macs in the media lab. Programmes for video and image editing are available. Independent work is possible at any time when there is no seminar in the media lab.

Performative Artistic Media Practice / Video
In addition to access to the Medialab, the Artistic Performance Media Practice/Video programme supervised by Anke Fischer also offers the opportunity to use the performance room. This room can be rented by Anke Fischer's students for performance and video work. The room also offers access to video equipment, which can be borrowed from the student assistant.

Places of learning outside the university
The Integrated Media degree programme works closely with institutions outside the university. In the meantime, a large number of co-operations have been established both within and outside Oldenburg, which are constantly being expanded and continued. The aim of these co-operations is to establish places of learning outside the university in order to make a broad spectrum of media production and exhibition accessible to students. These learning locations are supplemented by excursions (e.g. European Media Art Festival, Hamburg Short Film Festival, visits to music studios, joint sound or video recordings in the surrounding area, etc.).
