Focus on your own child. Artists' children from Runge to Richter, from Dix to Picasso
In this exhibition you will meet many different artists from different times. But they all have a common theme: they paint, draw or photograph their own children.
You will meet babies, boys, girls and teenagers; sometimes with their favourite toys, sometimes sleeping, sometimes romping or even sitting on the sofa. What photos do you have of yourselves? When do your parents take pictures of you? On the first day of school, on holiday or just lots of snapshots? If you bring along your favourite photo of yourself, we will look for a suitable work of art together.
After visiting the Kunsthalle, you can take your collected ideas back to our studio and get creative yourself.
