Bathed in radiant moonlight, Prince Siegfried stands before a beautiful woman - the Swan Princess - who is to choose his future bride at the court ball the next night. She has been transformed into a swan by an evil sorcerer: She can only assume her human form at midnight, as she will change back into a swan at dawn.
For Prince Siegfried, this miraculous appearance is like a stroke of fate that he would never have thought possible: he falls in love with this woman and wants to take her as his bride. The Swan Princess is overjoyed; after all, only the true and unshakeable love of a man can release her from the spell. Everything would be fine if it weren't for the black, evil Swan Princess, who looks just like her. In this fairy-tale concert with probably the most famous ballet music of all, we find out whether love triumphs over evil in the end.
