How does ClimateKnowledge work as a two-stage event format?
First phase: In the first phase (mid-May), the registered teacher receives access to the selected climate lecture via a link. The teacher can then either show the video in class or the students are given the task of watching the film outside of class. Until 29 June 2023, the students have the opportunity to delve deeper into the climate topic and prepare questions for the exchange in ClimateTalk.
Second phase: The second phase will take place live, digitally and in the booked time slot on Thursday, 29 June 2023. The teachers will receive the access data for the online room for the registered KlimaTalk by email a few days in advance. During the ClimateTalk, which lasts a maximum of 60 minutes, the respective experts are available for questions and discussions. The students determine the questions. For example, they can have technical terms explained, ask about correlations or refer to everyday working life. In the video conference, questions can be asked via microphone or chat. Important: The respective video input from the experts is not shown in the ClimateTalk time slot.
