CreaSach
Creativity in science lessons
The KreaSach project(Creativityin subject teaching) focusses on creativity in subject teaching. In a constantly changing world with ever new, unpredictable challenges, the ability to develop creative and innovative problem-solving strategies is an important skill.
The first step was to investigate what students of general studies understand by creativity, what significance creativity has for general studies teaching from their point of view and how they believe pupils can utilise and (further) develop their creative potential in general studies teaching. The focus is therefore on the influence of creative thinking on learning and working in subject lessons and vice versa, on the influence of learning in subject lessons on the development of pupils' creative potential.
The next step is to investigate the creativity of (primary) school pupils. This project is being implemented together with Dr Ann-Kathrin Jaggy from the Hector Institute for Empirical Educational Research at the University of Tübingen.
Two other projects are concerned with ways of promoting creativity on the one hand and researching the influence of creative potential on learning on the other.
If you have any questions about the KreaSach project, please contact Dr Marisa Alena Holzapfel.

KreaSach Pro project
In a co-operation project with Prof. Dr Nadine Dittert of the Didactics of Computing Science at the University of Koblenz and PD. Dr Cornelia S. Große of the Linz School of Education Johannes Kepler University Linz (A), a learning setting for creative programming for primary school pupils is being developed and evaluated.
