Your experiences count! Challenges and needs for teacher training in subject teaching

How can professional development programmes for science and technology lessons be designed so that you can integrate digital media into your lessons in a targeted and sustainable way? In a scientific study at the University of Oldenburg, we are investigating the challenges that primary school teachers experience in training practice and what support they would like. Share your experiences in an approx. 30-minute interview (online) and help us to tailor training programmes more specifically to the needs of teachers.

The joint project "LFB-labs-digital: School labs as a place for teacher training" as part of the Centre of Excellence MINT of the federal and state governments is developing student labs (SL) into innovative locations for teacher training in the STEM field. The aim is to create digital learning spaces, known as LFB Labs Digital, to train teachers in digital skills and to promote students' motivation for STEM subjects.

The University of Oldenburg is working on the quality management (QM) sub-project in collaboration with Leuphana University Lüneburg. The focus here is on the evaluation of teacher training courses, taking into account the supply and use side in the sense of a design-based research approach, in order to generate good practice examples for digitisation-related SL teacher training courses.
