Projects
The tractor project at OBS Uplengen shows in a special way how repairs can be incorporated into lessons. Holistic and authentic: the condition of the tractor determines the work to be done in this project! The challenges cannot be foreseen from the outset. Nevertheless, or perhaps precisely because of this, the students and teachers involved are particularly motivated to reach their goal at the end: A fully restored Porsche tractor!
It is the small successes at the end of such an extensive and time-consuming project that are almost priceless!

The "Solar Charging Station" project has brought together what at first glance does not belong together. University and festival...
And yet it worked! A mobile solar charging station was created during an open-air workshop in the cornfield.
Under guidance, one group of participants produced small USB chargers, while the other group assembled a housing and the solar panel. The solar panel was assembled from discarded wafers. An exciting project that, with a little courage and skill, could also be suitable for school.
A mobile repair café...
A long way from idea to reality. Students from the Technical Education working group worked together with cooperation schools to realise the idea. They designed, constructed, discarded and started all over again.
One (interim) result of this journey is a trailer for bicycles. Storage space for tools and spare parts. Compact yet spacious. Flexible in use. Still unfinished and still not perfect, but already a little closer to realisation, this project will continue!
