Das Lehrangebot für den B.Sc. Uwi im WiSe26/27 wird am Fr, den 19.06.26 um 12:00 Uhr in Stud.IP zur Anmeldung freigeschaltet. Recognitions and credits

Recognition means that academic achievements and examination results obtained outside the current degree programme are credited towards that programme. The recognised modules then no longer need to be completed.
As part of the credit transfer process , knowledge, skills and competences acquired outside higher education – through initial, further and continuing education as well as professional experience – may be taken into account if they are equivalent to the learning outcomes of the degree programme. This concerns modules, not individual courses. Recognition should be granted provided there are no significant differences with regard to the competences acquired (BPO §8 (2)). In other words, the focus is on the acquisition of comparable competences, not on exact equivalence of content. The scope (number of KP/ECTS credits) of the work completed should roughly correspond to the module to be recognised. Slight deviations are possible. When awarding credit, both content and level must be taken into account.

As the BSc in International Studies in Oldenburg comprises large modules worth 9–10 KP, smaller modules may need to be combined where necessary. Partial recognition of modules is generally the exception and should be clarified with the lecturers where necessary.
