O-Week
Dear first-year students,
The start of the semester is just around the corner and we would like to welcome you to Oldenburg and/or our degree programme with a fitting O-Week ("Orientation Week"). The O-Week always takes place one week before the start of the lecture period. This year it will be the week of 6-10 October 2025. We have planned a varied programme for you and are looking forward to getting to know you all!
You are allowed to bring alcohol. Please drink only in moderation, there must be no danger to others. We reserve the right to exclude people from our activities who do not adhere to the rules and instructions of the group leaders and thus endanger others.
We look forward to getting to know you! :)
University programme
From 1 October, the university will be offering its information materials in the form of videos, presentations and information pages via an external, password-protected platform. You should have received access data for this in your study folder.

The AStA is the General Students' Committee, i.e. our representative body elected by the student parliament. The AStA officers represent us externally and make university policy. This includes legal and BAFöG counselling, agreements on the semester public transport pass, political education, culture and ecology on campus.
