Strike with good reason

Dear colleagues,

Last Wednesday, with the strike at the University and the Studierendenwerk Oldenburg, you showed that you are serious about your demands in the collective bargaining round – and that you can make yourselves heard!

Next week, the action continues right before the third round of negotiations! This is your last chance to show the Collective Bargaining Association of the German States (TDL) that you do not agree with the current state of negotiations!

The ver.di trade union is calling on all employees in the Weser-Ems district affected by the collective bargaining negotiations for the federal states to take part in a joint strike day on Tuesday, 10 February 2026, in Bremen. You are called upon to strike for the whole day.

Programme: Starts at 9:00 am at the Bürgerweide in Bremen. Ends around 12:30 pm

Information about the strike day

  • You will find an overview of your rights during the strike in the appendix.
  • Strike pay will be recorded on the buses or at the strike headquarters.
  • Please register in advance at meine.verdi.de so that strike pay can be processed quickly.
  • For employees of student services organisations, universities and special schools, there is a separate meeting point and a separate section in the strike rally (see attachment).

Please all come to this meeting point so that you can sign up on the strike lists (if you haven’t already done so).
In our joint section, we will make it loud and clear: there are many university staff – and we are ready to fight!

Getting there: There is a free bus service (also for non-ver.di members). Two buses stop right at the University of Oldenburg: University of Oldenburg, in front of building V03. Ammerländer Heerstraße 138 at 7.25 am! Please be on time!

Don’t live in Oldenburg? No problem – check the bus timetable for the other departure point!

Connect with other staff at the Studierendenwerk Oldenburg and the University of Oldenburg:

Come to the rally, join the strike and send a clear message together for good working conditions on the campus!

Solidarity greetings
