12.12.2007: Interim results of the STASIS project convince experts
On 12 December 2007, the second official review of the interim results of the STASIS project took place in Brussels. The EU reviewers were impressed by the project progression to date and the results of the work, which are now also available on the project website.

Prof. Dr Jorge Marx Gómez attended the kick-off meeting for the EU Tempus project "Ecosystems Informatics" on 24 October 2007 in Thessaloniki (Greece).
22 October 2007: German-Syrian Day
On Monday, 22 October 2007, the University of Oldenburg and the WADI German-Syrian University (WGSU) are organising the "German-Syrian Day" in cooperation with the Landesmuseum für Natur und Mensch. 15.10. - 19.10.2007: STASIS project meeting in Beijing
Prof Axel Hahn and Nikolai Dahlem take part in a project meeting at Tsinghua University in Beijing as part of the EU STASIS project.
03.10.2007: Lecture at the VHB autumn conference in Vienna
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jorge Marx Gómez will give a presentation on sustainability reporting at the conference "Environmental Economics - International, Interdisciplinary and Innovative" organised by the Environmental Economics Commission of the Association of University Professors of Business Administration from 3 to 5 October 2007 at the Research Institute for Managing Sustainability (RIMAS) of the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
12.09.2007: Presentation at the ENVIROINFO 2007 in Warsaw
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jorge Marx Gómez will give a presentation on sustainability reporting at the 21st conference Informatics for Environmental Protection - ENVIROINFO 2007 - Environmental Informatics and Systems Research from 12 September 2007 to 14 September 2007 in Warsaw.
04.09.2007: Lecture at the DEXA 2007 in Regensburg
Dipl.-Wirt.-Inf. Sabina El Haoum gave a presentation on "Mapping of heterogeneous schemata, business structures, and terminologies" at DEXA 2007 as part of the Semantic Web Architectures for Enterprises (SWAE) workshop. The lecture presents the current research results from the STASIS project.
31.08.2007: Visit of 50 Syrian students in Oldenburg
From 31 August 2007 to 5 September 2007, a group of Syrian students from the Wadi German Syrian University (WGSU) will be visiting Oldenburg as part of a cultural exchange programme. Further information on the planned activities can be found here.
11.07.2007: Permeter presentation at the PLM '07 in Bergamo
Update: The paper presented at the conference was honoured with the Best Paper Award!
Stephan große Austing will present research work in the field of Permeter on 11 July at the 4th International Conference on Product Lifecycle Management (11-13 July) in Bergamo in the paper "Metrics- The Business Side of PLM".

Andreas Solsbach presented the paper "An information system to support the decision making process in Supply Chain Management" at the 11th International Conference Human Aspects of Advanced Manufacturing Agility and Hybrid Automation - HAAMAHA (09-12 July) in Poznan, Poland.
21.06.2007: Presentation of the Produktiv+ project at the EDA Workshop 2007
The EDA Workshop 2007 took place in Hanover on 19 and 20 June. The participants of this event had the opportunity to find out about the latest results of scientific and industrial research in the field of electronic design automation (EDA). In this context, Stefan Häusler presented the research project Produktiv+ in the lecture "Modelling complexity and quality as factors of productivity in design flows for integrated circuits".
25/05/2007: Students at the EA-SDI 2007
The feedback from participants at this year's EA-SDI conference on the presentation by four Computing Science students from the University of Oldenburg, who presented their results as part of their project group "cerebral - a web-based sustainability software", was extremely positive. The main focus of the international conference, which takes place every year in Prague, is on the discussion of environmental accounting and indicators for sustainable development.

On 26 April 2007, Nico Brehm presented the first results of the prototype implementation of a Federated ERP System (FERP) at the 10th International Conference Business Information Systems 2007 in Poznan, Poland.
12.04.2007: Presentation in Singapore
Prof Dr Jürgen Sauer visited Nanyang Technical University in Singapore at the invitation of SIMTech (Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology) and gave a presentation on "Multi-Site Scheduling" at the AMF (Asia Manufacturing Forum).

20.01.2007: STASIS - New EU project
The WI department is participating in the EU research project STASIS - Software for Ambient Semantic Interoperable Services. The aim is to provide SMEs and larger companies with easy access to e-business by providing applications based on the open SEEM network. These will allow simple and efficient access for analysing and comparing semantic information.
