Mitarbeiterin bis 2015

Vaskuläre Epiphyten sind eine besonders interessante Pflanzengruppe, die zahlreiche verschiedene Anpassungen mit ihrer Umwelt umzugehen entwickelt haben. In den letzten Jahrzehnten, seit der Zugang zum Kronenbereich des Urwalds durch verschiedenen Techniken erleichtert wurde, ist auch viel Forschungsarbeit in Bezug auf Epiphyten geleistet worden. Trotzdem fehlt noch immer eine Konzeptionalisierung und hinreichende Definition der Gruppe. In meinen früheren Arbeiten habe ich mich vorrangig mit Diversität, Biogeographie und Ökologie von Epiphyten beschäftigt. Mein aktuelles Projekt fokussiert die zugrundeliegenden Mechanismen der Dynamik von Epiphytengemeinschaften, ihrer Diversität und Abundanzmuster in Zeit und Raum.
