Accounting and Corporate Governance

Adelaide/Oldenburg: Katarina Böttcher is continuing her research abroad at the University of South Australia, Adelaide. Together with Sumit K. Lodhia, her hosting professor at the Centre for Sustainability Governance, Katarina is currently working on a research project in the area of labor representatives on board and labor investment efficiency. Katarina is going to stay in Australia till the end of November 2017 in order to attend the 5th Global Accounting and Organisational Change Conference at the La Trobe University in Melbourne.

Syracuse/Oldenburg: Johann Trenkle is currently at Syracuse University, Whitman School of Management, USA. With Professor Susan Albring, he is doing research on the impact of disaggregated accounting information and accounting conservatism. Furthermore he is also working on a paper which investigates the role of labor representatives in the innovation process of European Corporations with Professor Joseph Comprix (see picture). Johann Trenkle also attended the American Accounting Association (AAA) Conference which took place in NYC in August 2016.

Adelaide/Oldenburg: Katarina Böttcher is currently doing research abroad at the University of South Australia, Adelaide. Presently she is working on a research project in the area of labor representatives on board and corporate governance with her hosting professor, Sumit K. Lodhia. During her stay she attended the 8th Asia-Pacific Interdisciplinary Research in Accounting Conference (APIRA) which took place in Melbourne in July. The trip to Melbourne was kindly supported by PwC. As we are also keen on fitness at our chair, it has to be mentioned that Katarina got into the School of Commerce volleyball team, which won the Volleyball VC Cup 2016! Well done!
