Data management plans, process design and proposals
- Design of the data management processes

- Selection of suitable tools (e.g. from the Health Research Toolpool) and service providers (university services and external partners)
- Implementation of quality requirements (e.g. good academic practice)
- Implementation of data protection requirements (e.g. pseudonymisation)

- Consideration of specific efforts in the area of data management - e.g. in the preparation and implementation of data collection

FAIR Data and subsequent utilisation

- Technical implementation of anonymisation
- Organisational solutions to ensure long-term data storage and protected access
Use of electronic data capture systems
- Use and configuration of electronic data capture systems (e.g. REDCap and SoSci Survey)
- Special functions (e.g. double data entry, interfaces, import/export options, storage of catalogues, SMS notification, etc.)
- Help with setting up/programming branches, input checks, etc.
- Data protection-compliant solutions (e.g. through role-based control of data visibility)
Laboratory management systems and electronic laboratory notebooks

- We can support you with resource booking using the OpenIRIS tool.
- We are working on providing an electronic lab notebook - please contact us if you are interested.

Organisational details
- We are also happy to answer smaller/specific questions directly by phone or email.
- Appointments can be arranged in person or virtually with a short lead time (please send us your suggested dates directly).
- For more complex questions or general project consultations, please send us relevant information (study protocol, ethics application, consent documents, etc.) in advance for familiarisation.
- As a rule, we write a keyword/results protocol for consultation appointments and make it available to you so that the status is preserved for possible follow-up questions and misunderstandings are avoided.
- It generally makes sense to contact us at an early stage (especially in the case of funding or ethics proposals), as fundamental decisions regarding data collection or the possible subsequent use of data for later projects can sometimes be difficult to change later.
