Consultancy in the area of research data management
You can find all the information you need on the Consultancy overview page.
EDC and data management tools
- REDCap
REDCap is a browser-based EDC software for building and managing clinical and translational research databases. Data collection is convenient and easy via a user-friendly interface with the help of online surveys or eCRFs. - SoSci Survey
SoSci Survey is a professional browser-based tool for developing and conducting online surveys. - secuTrial
secuTrial is a GCP-compliant EDC system for collecting patient data via eCRFs in clinical trials or non-interventional studies and patient registries. - roXtra
roXtra is a document management software for the implementation of document control workflows with the purpose of fulfilling the requirements of a GxP-regulated quality management system.
Identity management
You can find an introduction in our glossary on the subject of identity management. We will be happy to support you in organising the necessary processes. Central IT services in this area of application (operation of specialised software tools) are provided by the Trustee Office .
- Consent management
In the area of consent management, there are new challenges due to regulatory requirements and, above all, digitalisation and networking, for which technical solutions (such as an electronic consent management system) must be developed in some cases. - Pseudonymisation services
Pseudonymisation is a central requirement of data protection with regard to research data. Data trustee services and pseudonymisation procedures can be used to separate identity data from research data without compromising linkability. - Anonymisation
The implementation of anonymisation (for example, to attach data to publications or to upload it to public repositories) is a complex task for which training and tools can be offered.
Encryption
Encryption is an important technical measure in terms of information security.
Consultancy services and, if required, technical support can be offered for project-specific implementation. We have summarised some implementation recommendations for encrypted data transmission in a practical tip.
Other services provided by the FDM Service Centre
