You can find an introduction in our glossary on the subject of identity management. We will be happy to support you in organising the necessary processes. Central IT services in this area of application (operation of specialised software tools) are provided by the Trustee Office .

• Consent management
  In the area of consent management, there are new challenges due to regulatory requirements and, above all, digitalisation and networking, for which technical solutions (such as an electronic consent management system) must be developed in some cases.
• Pseudonymisation services
  Pseudonymisation is a central requirement of data protection with regard to research data. Data trustee services and pseudonymisation procedures can be used to separate identity data from research data without compromising linkability.
• Anonymisation
  The implementation of anonymisation (for example, to attach data to publications or to upload it to public repositories) is a complex task for which training and tools can be offered.

Encryption is an important technical measure in terms of information security.
Consultancy services and, if required, technical support can be offered for project-specific implementation. We have summarised some implementation recommendations for encrypted data transmission in a practical tip.

The services listed here are not FDM services in the strict sense and/or are not aimed at a wider user base; they are therefore only briefly described here for the sake of completeness

• nQuery
  nQuery is specialised software for sample size planning in clinical trials. We manage a quality-assured installation of this software for the Biometrics Service Centre.
• Redmine
  We operate Redmine for the Medical Ethics Committee. It is used there for project management and document administration.
• RStudio
  For the Biometrics Service Centre, we operate a quality-assured RStudio server, which is used for biometric analysis in clinical and biomedical research projects.
