Learning centres
Learning centres are offered for the basic maths and physics lectures in the first and second semesters, as well as biology in the first semester.
The learning centres are organised by the student body. Students from higher semesters offer to help with the preparation of the task sheets from the lectures.
Everyone is welcome to join in!

Introductory Course on R
The mat985 module, which takes place in the second semester, requires a basic understanding of how to use and apply the R programme. Many fundamental questions on this topic are asked at the Mathematics Learning Centre.
The Learning Centre cannot accommodate this during the semester, as all available time is required for working through the exercise sheets. We therefore offered a preparatory course shortly before the start of the lecture period. The aim of the preparatory course was to give students the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the R programme at their own pace.
The R introductory course in the Summer Semester 26 took place on 17 and 19 March. The relevant files can be found on the UWI Community Forum.
