FWJ: Ecological economy

School II - Department of Economics and Law

About us

Research at the Chair of Ecological Economics focusses on the question of how the actions of social actors can be shaped within the limits and conditions of ecological systems. A holistic perspective is adopted in order to understand interactions between the economy, society and nature and to develop sustainable solutions.

Members of the chair offer various courses at the University of Oldenburg on topics related to ecological economics, e.g. sustainability management or environmental and sustainability policy. The chair carries out a large number of research projects in various areas, e.g. sustainable land use, climate protection and adaptation to climate change or social learning processes in the context of sustainability.
