Whether on the high seas or by the river at home, anyone can make a scientific contribution with the EyeOnWater app. Now some of you are probably wondering "How does it all work?". It's quite simple.
2. go to a body of water that you want to investigate.
It doesn't matter whether it's a river, lake or even the sea. The main thing is that it is not a puddle, as that would be too small.
4. take a photo of the water.
Hold your camera horizontally and try to have the sun behind you.
As long as you don't drop your mobile phone, you can't go far wrong.
5. indicate the colour of the water in the app.
You will receive a colour scale for comparison. The better your photo was, the easier it is to determine the colour.
6 Now just answer a few questions.
And you're done!
