What motivated you to become an anniversary ambassador for the University of Oldenburg?
The university is an enrichment for our region. It attracts many young people and offers many jobs in various fields. It promotes the most important resource of our 21st century - education and further education for people - and conducts research into the important topics of our decade, such as the use of renewable energies and health.
I would like to support this key function for our region.
What characterises the University of Oldenburg for you - please name three terms spontaneously.
Young, open to all, forward-looking.
What do you wish the University of Oldenburg for its next 40 years?
I wish everyone continued curiosity and a love of discovery in their research, and that the students at the end of their training have the courage to help shape our society and take responsibility for it.
Why do you think it is important and right for the University of Oldenburg to celebrate its 40th birthday in a fitting manner?
It is always important for the university to present itself so that everyone is aware of the benefits it offers the people of our region - in the areas of research and teaching, further education, the economy, health and the social development of our region.
