Carl von Ossietzky, Nobel Peace Prize winner and namesake of the University of Oldenburg, has been interpreted in very different ways over the years. On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the university, the exhibition curated by Alexandra Otten explores the question of who actually gave the university its name.

Using numerous original documents from his estate, the library presents the life and work of Carl von Ossietzky.
