School in the digital age
Details and description
Origin
DiOLL project
Author:
Alina Großmann, Karen Vogelpohl, Kirsten Gronau
Description
The digital transformation has very specific effects on teaching and the behaviour of teachers. "Hybrid teaching" and "collaboration", for example, are new terms in the education sector that have become more prominent in recent months. But what are they all about? How can skills in dealing with digital media be acquired and taught?
The training series offered is intended to promote the academic, pedagogical and didactic media skills of the participants as well as to show ways of teaching media skills to pupils based on the "Orientierungsrahmen Medienbildung in der Schule" (NLQ).
Central components of the training include the examination and discussion of current didactic concepts for teaching in the digital age, critical reflection and promotion of one's own media skills and a differentiated view of the skills of "digital natives". The training series will also focus on specific methods and tools for everyday teaching. One thematic focus is on collaborative and networked forms of learning. Based on the experiences of the participants, suggestions for school practice as well as the opportunities and challenges of digitally supported teaching will be discussed.
The "School in Digitality" training series will take place in a blended learning format and, in addition to three scheduled events, will also include two self-learning modules that have been developed and tested as part of the Digitalisation in Oldenburg Teacher Training (DiOLL) project at the University of Oldenburg. The first event will take place in person, the others will be held as video conferences.
Please allow up to 2-3 hours for each of the self-study modules.
This is an event from the Digital Teacher Training (DiFo) project of the C.v.O. University of Oldenburg in co-operation with the Regional Conference North-West and Medienberatung_online.
This event is financially supported by the Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs of Lower Saxony as an educational policy focus and is free of charge.

Description
Competences / objectives:
(Prospective) subject teachers can get inspiration and ideas on how language-sensitive teaching can be implemented in various subjects and use the contributions as a basis for their own lesson planning or try out the presented designs in practice.
In this blog, student teachers from the University of Oldenburg write their examination results in the form of blog posts in which they present teaching ideas that combine the aspects of language sensitivity and digitality using subject-specific content. Whether religion, German, biology, primary school, lower secondary school... you will find plenty of inspiration here. Feel free to give us feedback and get in touch if you have any questions - we look forward to hearing from you!
