Dear Sportis,
A new newsletter is of course a must for the new hybrid semester. Let's start with a little lighter fare. Firstly, as every year, we would like to draw your attention to the sports calendar. Sports students from various universities have had themselves photographed in very attractive poses and very lightly dressed. The proceeds from these calendars go directly to the organisation @sportlerherzspendet and thus to a charitable cause. We, the Oldenburg Sports Science Student Council, even have an exclusive 20% discount code for you! So get your fellow sports students from all over Germany on your walls! (The calendar also makes a great Christmas present for your loved ones)

We would also like to draw your attention to the fact that the city of Oldenburg has set up a sports box at Flötenteich, which is equipped with various materials. These include yoga mats, kettlebells, medicine balls, fascia rolls and resistance bands. To be able to use this training equipment, you have to register in the "Sportbox" app and pay a one-off fee of 50 cents. You can then select the training equipment and times in the app and start sweating. The city of Oldenburg also has an Instagram page, where you can find more information in a post.

Yesterday, on 20 October 2021, we unfortunately had to elect new Chairs to our Student council. Our first Chair Kathrin unfortunately no longer has as much time, is about to graduate and is therefore vacating her position. We would like to take this opportunity to say a BIG BIG BIG THANK YOU to you Kathrin for your great commitment! You have given blood, sweat and tears for many semesters, it seems impossible to replace you. Kamal Akil (2nd Chair) was re-elected, and Onno Heubaum will follow in Kathrin's big footsteps as the new first Chair, despite her shoe size 37.
