What do you believe in? There are many different religions around the world. In Germany, Christianity, Judaism and Islam are the best known, but there are many more! People believe in one god or many gods. They celebrate festivals, venerate holy books, pray and attend church services.
Unfortunately, the believers of different religions have not always treated each other peacefully. On the contrary: others were fought, persecuted and even killed in the name of the respective religion. For many centuries, there were even wars because of the different religions. And even today, things are not always peaceful.
However, there were also people who actively campaigned for the freedom of other religions. The lecture will focus on courageous Christians who fought for peace between religions at different times and stood up for the right of each individual to believe what they wanted.
