Information about the work placement
As part of the ‘Sustainability Economics’ Bachelor’s degree programme, students are required to undertake a work placement as part of the training module prx108 in order to gain an insight into the professional field. Here you will find information that may help you in your search for an internship placement:
– a list of organisations where previous students have completed their compulsory internship
– short experience reports and tips from students (in progress)
For organisational matters relating to the training module, please contact the internship coordinator at the Department of Economics and Law. Further information can be found on the website.
Creating the report
As part of the prx108 training module, NOEK students are required to produce a placement report. Regardless of this assessment, we would like to collect students’ experience reports from their compulsory and voluntary internships. These are intended to provide other NOEK students with valuable insights and inspiration (not part of the training module prx108).
The experience report is not a compulsory submission. Rather, it is intended to provide future classes with a brief overview of the work placement.
Ideally, the experience report should cover the following topics:
- Name of the company/organisation + brief description of the sector
- The application process
- If applicable, a brief account of accommodation
- Description of the scope of responsibilities during the placement
- Description of the working atmosphere and social interactions
If there were any other notable aspects during the placement that fellow students might find useful to know, these are of course welcome to be included in the report.
In keeping with the motto ‘One for all, all for one’, we welcome any insights,
The reports should, of course, be written as soon as possible after the placement and sent to the student assistant.
