We are looking for a student employee for the Campus Office for University and Trade Union Co-operation at the University of Oldenburg (SAW). SAW offers students information on labour law and initial advice on part-time jobs and internships. We also organise events on trade union and socio-political topics.
Start: 01.10.2026, working hours: 19 hours per month
The tasks and activities include
Initial counselling on the topic of jobs alongside studies and internships in a weekly face-to-face consultation hour on the Haarentor campus
Planning, organising and implementing events and campaigns at the university and Jade University of Applied Sciences Oldenburg/Wilhelmshaven in consultation with the trade unions of the German Trade Union Confederation (DGB) and the DGB
Presentations on the topic of internships in various internship-related courses at the university and university of applied sciences
Networking with various stakeholders at the university and university of applied sciences as well as the member unions of the DGB and the DGB
Collaboration with TVStud (support for information stands, organisation, networking)
Using creative means to draw attention to topics at the intersection of trade unions and students Maintaining the website (with CMS Typo3) and social media channels (Facebook, Instagram)
We are looking for:
Interest in dealing with trade union and socio-political positions and making them visible at the university + university of applied sciences
Very good planning, organising and independent working skills
Communication and teamwork skills
Creativity and ideas for actions
Good language skills in German and English
Good knowledge of common PC application programmes + Basic social media and web skills
Enrolled student at a university or university of applied sciences and still have a few semesters left to study
Ideally already involved/membership in one of the DGB member unions or in the DGB
Participation in the introductory seminar: Initial labour and social law counselling for students

Payment is based on the usual remuneration for student assistants and research assistants at universities in Lower Saxony (RdErl. d. MWK v. 09.10.2025).
