Dissertation project

My dissertation on the topic of "Students' ideas and subject-related ideas on the biological foundations of human behaviour" is the result of a co-operation between the Institute of Anthropology at the University of Vienna (Prof. Harald Wilfing) and the Didactics of Biology working group at the University of Oldenburg (Prof. Ulrich Kattmann). The research framework is based on the model of didactic reconstruction. What interests me about this topic, apart from the connection between education / didactics and biology, is the proximity to practice, but above all the fascinating possibility of changing perspectives and looking at human behaviour not only from the point of view of the researcher, but from the "everyday perspective".

My doctoral project has been put on hold for personal reasons.

About the person

Before studying biology with a focus on human ethology at the University of Vienna, I attended the teacher training college in Bruneck, South Tyrol (Matura with professional qualification as a primary school teacher). The field of biology didactics now gives me the opportunity to combine these areas of interest.
