On 24 November 2018, the ver.di state district department conference took place in Springe. Among other things, the new ver.di state district executive committee for education, science and research in Lower Saxony and Bremen (LBV BiWiFo) was elected for the 2018-2022 term of office. Colleagues from the CvO University will be dedicated to professional work in the Archives, Libraries and Documentation Centres (ABD) division and will be active in the Universities division. The LBV BiWiFo coordinates the work areas universities/further education/students/student services and ABD and decides in particular on the use and distribution of funding. In the coming legislative period, however, the merger with ver.di Department 3 Health will play an important role in addition to numerous specialist topics.
