Forschungsinteressen
The exchange of natural organic matter, especially of dissolved organic matter (DOM) and particulate organic matter (POM) between terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems is in the core of my research interest. How do landscape characteristics and land-use influence the composition of organic matter? I am further working on the question how we can use the monitor function of natural organic matter for in- and ex-situ watershed management. I work in agricultural and forest systems with a special emphasis on high-alpine ecosystems.
