Astronauts
Astronauts
Prof Dr Astrid Kaiser (Institute of Educational Sciences)
If we observe closely what is happening around us, we find a lot to marvel at and discover. For example, if you hold a spoon under a jet of water, there is a big difference whether you hold the top or the bottom towards the water. One time the water jet forms the shape of a mountain, the other time the shape of a valley.
Why is that? And why do apples turn brown when we cut them open? They last longer uncut! There are lots of fun experiments where we can discover important knowledge about nature and technology - for example: "Why does an astronaut need a spacesuit?" In this lecture, various amazing experiments are demonstrated and all children are allowed to take part at least once.
