A box with a screen, keyboard and mouse: the computer. You can surf the internet, write emails and texts, chat and play games. That's nice, but are there other computers? And do you always see them? Computers don't have to look like computers, and there are many more of them than we realise. Most of them work behind the scenes, in cars, machines, telephones or household appliances. They usually have no keyboard, no mouse and no screen. They perform many small tasks that make life more pleasant or safer and more environmentally friendly. In our lecture, we want to show you how computers in the home of the future will help us to live, work and socialise with our friends more comfortably, healthily and safely. We will explain how we talk to computers, how they talk to us and how they talk to each other. Moderator: Anke Genius
