The topic of social class is currently very virulent due to social conflicts, divisions and challenges. Class, class relations and classism often come to a head in queer/end contexts as well as in numerous other constellations. It is therefore important to take an intersectional approach to questions of class per se, as these are closely linked to questions of gender and race, ability, religion and age - to name just a few parameters of discrimination. [...] From the perspective of art and visual cultural studies, the series of lectures will focus on political, historical and theoretical approaches to science as well as concrete analyses of audiovisual artistic works that discuss and negotiate class issues and address (not only the Anthropocene, but also) the Capitalocene in a micro-political way. Which arguments are put up for discussion in which aesthetic-medial way? [...] Current positions from art, visual culture and media studies will be presented and discussed in order to gain a new perspective on the category of class in queer intersectional entanglements.
