Series of lectures: Pathways to an academic appointment
Series of lectures: Pathways to an academic appointment
The series of lectures, which takes place each summer semester, is aimed at students of the humanities, linguistics and cultural studies, as well as the human and social sciences, who are not studying with the aim of becoming teachers and who would like to find out about potential career paths and fields of work. A variety of professionals from the field provide insights into their individual career paths and are then available to discuss potential steps, as well as the challenges, involved in entering their respective fields of work. Relevant career fields to be presented include the foundation sector, official statistics, culture and cultural management/literary promotion, event management and cultural education, as well as art education. This semester, for the first time, the lecture series is being organised and moderated by lecturers from Schools III and IV: Prof. Dr Friederike Nastold (Art and Visual Culture) and Dr Alexander Max Bauer (Philosophy). The event counts towards the area of specialisation in various modules (registration via Stud.IP). Link to the event
