International conference
Sites of Gaming and Arcade Situations
The conference focuses on gaming in arcades of various kinds. The special features of the respective games will be analysed and placed in a larger national and cultural context.
On the one hand, it represents a contribution to the cultural history of video games; on the other hand, it is intended to initiate a discussion about a desideratum in the field of research by linking the practice of (video) gaming with the place where it is practised and with other forms of gaming.
