The entirety of the planned courses and study and examination achievements enable students on the degree programme to work independently and on a scientific basis on problems, challenges and potentials of educational, training and coping relationships and, in their reflections, both to refer to the specialist debates in educational science and social pedagogy and to intervene in these specialist debates.

The course also aims to impart the competence to analyse previously unknown and complex (problem) situations and to develop and implement new (solution) approaches from this analysis on the basis of specialist and interdisciplinary knowledge resources.

Furthermore, the competence to make a professionally justified contribution to analysing and breaking down access and communication barriers in the migration society is taught. In addition, the competence to carry out and reflect on international comparisons is further developed, supported and professionally stimulated.

The aim is also for graduates to become aware of the social and ethical responsibility associated with applying their knowledge and making judgements based on it. 

Die Gesamtheit der vorgesehenen Angebote und Studien- und Prüfungsleistungen befähigen die Studierenden des Studiengangs, selbstständig und auf wissenschaftlicher Grundlage zu Problemen, Herausforderungen und Potentialen von Erziehungs-, Bildungs- und Bewältigungsverhältnissen zu arbeiten und in ihren Reflexionen sowohl auf die erziehungswissenschaftlichen und sozialpädagogischen Fachdebatten Bezug zu nehmen als auch in diese Fachdebatten einzugreifen.
