Offers from 3GO
3GO specialises in qualifications and advice in the social sciences and humanities. In cooperation with Schools I to IV and in coordination with the doctoral programmes, a broad programme is developed each semester, covering three subject areas:
- Subject area A: Broadening and deepening specialised knowledge
This area focusses on the acquisition of specialist knowledge and methods in the student's own field of research and related disciplines. - Subject area B: Communication and knowledge transfer
The aim of this module area is to promote communicative skills, e.g. with regard to research-oriented presentation techniques and scientific publishing, as well as the acquisition of university didactic skills. - Subject area C: Interdisciplinary competences
This module serves to acquire interdisciplinary skills that are useful for a general academic career, such as the preparation of structured research plans and third-party funding applications, application strategies or business English.

Registration and allocation of places for 3GO programmes
- Addressees: The 3GO workshops are aimed at accepted or enrolled doctoral candidates of School I to IV (except FK II, Department of Computing Science) of the CVO University of Oldenburg.
- Costs: Participation in the 3GO workshops is free of charge for members of 3GO (memberships are regulated by the regulations).
- Registration: Please register for workshops via Stud.IP as follows:
- If possible, use your doctoral student account in Stud.IP (and not the staff account). If an error occurs or registration is not possible, first log in to Stud.IP in general and then follow the event link.
- You are provisionally registering for the workshop. If there is a free place and you are authorised to take part, 3GO will activate you (you will then receive an automatic email).
- Workshops that are already running (several dates) can no longer be booked.
- By registering, you agree to the conditions of participation for 3GO events.
