FAQ

What is the student body?

The student body is made up of all students of a subject. However, the student body usually refers to the Student council, which represents the students of a subject in university and higher education policy matters and organises events.

How do I contact the student body?

You can contact us via Stud.IP in our event Student Body Protestant Theology or by email to via Facebook www.facebook.com/fstheologieoldenburg/ or simply during our office hours.

I have general questions about my degree programme, who should I contact?

If you have questions about individual courses, it makes sense to speak to the lecturer first. Of course, we as a student body are always open to your questions. For examination matters, you can contact the Examinations Office directly and the SSC (A12) also offers services on student grants, studying abroad and much more.

I have a problem with a lecturer/ in a course...

If you have a problem with a lecturer, it is effective to seek dialogue first. If the problem cannot be resolved through direct dialogue, we will be happy to mediate. If you notice any fundamental problems, please come to us, as we can then bring them to the committees.

Which modules do I have to take in the Bachelor's programme?

In the Bachelor's programme, you study a basic and a consecutive curriculum. The basic modules are the 119, 129, 139, 149 and 159 and the modules based on these are the 219, 229, 239, 249, 259.

The study plan is also helpful (can be found under Documents & Forms)

Exegese/ learning diary - what is it actually?

The NT examinations raise many questions, which we will be happy to answer. You can also view these seminar papers in the student council room (appointments by arrangement/office hours) and find inspiration for literature.

Active participation - what is that?

(1) Active participation is a regulation for the organisation of seminars that applies to Bachelor's students and is legally anchored in the examination regulations. This regulation states: "4 Regulations on active participation in courses

(2) Courses that convey course content practically or primarily through dialogue between students and lecturers (e.g. seminars, colloquia, exercises, excursions, internships), active participation is required if this is necessary to achieve the objective of the course. Active participation is not graded and the amount of work involved must be in proportion to the number of credit points to be awarded.

(3) Active participation may include Regular attendance (As a rule, attendance is considered regular if the student has not missed more than 20% of the course time) and participation in the courses, preparation and follow-up of course material, preparation/reading of texts and, depending on the type of course, short and impulse presentations, minutes, short presentations or similar. The applicable criteria for active participation are determined at the beginning of the course by the lecturers in mutual consultation with the students present, presented transparently and set out in writing." (subject-specific BPO 2017)

I want to get involved ...

If you would like to become part of the student body or simply get a taste of it, you are welcome to take part in the meetings and help organise activities such as the O-Week or the student representation of interests.
