At ICUR, we believe that the questions and challenges faced by the world today are interdisciplinary in nature. This means that they can’t be addressed by one person in one field of study: we need different people with different knowledge bases, different skillsets, and different lived experiences, in collaborative discussion and exploration.
That’s why ICUR is an interdisciplinary conference. It’s not about presenting your work to an audience of people in your discipline (although they’ll be there too!) It’s about engaging new audiences from many different backgrounds and areas of study, and thinking about how you talk about your work to people who may never have heard of your topic before. We believe that your research is important – and ICUR is an opportunity for you to communicate why.

ICUR provides a platform for students to engage with peers worldwide, fostering connections that go beyond academic disciplines and geographical boundaries. Students from around the globe have the chance to discuss their research with their peers, gaining exposure to diverse perspectives and expanding their understanding of different fields. ICUR presenters have the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals and to see how similar issues are approached differently in various cultural and academic contexts.
