Orientation week for first-year students
The O-Week is organised so that you don't have to stand around the university campus without a plan during the first 'real' study week. From 15 - 19 October 2007 there will be many different activities on offer - subject presentations, interdisciplinary events, student council meetings and so on.
You can find the exact programme on the following page.
For the subject Social Sciences we recommend the following event:
- for prospective Bachelor students of Social Sciences (B.A.,B.Sc.)
18.10.2007, 16:00 - 17:30, A7 lecture theatre G, Prof. Dr. Bernhard Kittel
- for prospective Master of Social Sciences students
18.10.2007, 17:30 - 18:30, A6 0-001, Prof. Dr Bernhard Kittel
- for prospective Master Democratic Citizenship Education (M.A.)
17.10.2007, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm, A1 0-009, Jan Kühnemund
Of course, we as a student body also offer a number of events. Here we want to help you with timetables, clarify unresolved issues and present the subject from a student perspective. But what's particularly great about these meetings is that you get the opportunity to sit together in a cosy atmosphere, meet fellow students and, of course, get to know them, whether it's on a nice pub crawl or over breakfast, at lunch together in the canteen or during the information events.
