Research Focus

My research is focused at phytoplankton ecological responses to their light environment. I am especially interested in the effects of variable light intensity and color. Therefore, I am combining laboratory, mesocosm and field experiments with light simulation and manipulation.

Keywords

Plankton Dynamics - Diversity - Photosynthesis - Light Intensity and Spectrum - Fluctuations - Mesocosms

Project

Phytoplankton response to fluctuating light intensity and spectrum. DFG (German Research Foundation) funded project.
